New members can join for an Introductory First-year Subscription of £600.
This offer was first presented last year and the maximum number of places were quickly snapped up. Every year we lose a number of members due to ill health, moving away from the area, changes in work or family circumstances and a number of other reasons. We wish to replace them with enthusiastic new members who will play their part in the future of our Club.
We have exciting times ahead with and wish to build on the progress we have made as a Club over the past few years. New members are always welcomed - is it the right time for you to decide to join one of the best golf club's in East Anglia? The course has always been a delight to play and as one of the best winter courses in the area you can enjoy your golf all the year round.
You may have already visited the Club to play as a member's guest or to take part in one of our Open events. You may have played in a match against our men's, seniors', ladies' or mixed teams. Or you may have paid a green fee or played under the County Card scheme. If so - would you like to play at Thetford all the time, where temporary greens are rarely required and you can stay clean as you complete 18 holes on free-draining Breckland surfaces?
We welcome all inquiries for membership - go to Membership on this website for more details or contact the Manager, Malcolm Grubb, at secretarythetfordgolfclub.co.uk or by calling him on 01842 752169.
There are many advantages of membership. The course provides a great challenge for players of all ability and has always been very popular with professionals and top-class amateurs. A recent influx of low-handicap members proves the point. Our practice facilities are good and there are regular competitions split into appropriate handicap groupings or age groups. We have a full programme of matches against other clubs as well as taking part in the various inter-club county events - last year the Norfolk CGU Scratch Cup was won by Thetford.
You can gain a handicap and keep it updated either via competition cards or supplementary cards recorded during social rounds.
You can book tee times three weeks in advance - before they are made available to visitors - which gives you priority booking. Before 9am every day it is members and guests only via the ball chute, a popular way to enable the maximum number of players to get started.
You receive a members' discount on food and beverages and you are encouraged to join in the regular social events that are held in our comfortable Clubhouse - and the rest of the family are always made welcome, too.
For further details email secretarythetfordgolfclub.co.uk or phone the Manager, Malcolm Grubb, on 01842 752169.
If you wish to book a tee time, go to Visitors/Book a Tee Time.
Our Open Competitions are always popular - to avoid disappointment you have to book early and online booking for the 2017 competitions is now available. Go to Visitors/Open Competitions.
